1. PROPERTY OWNERS


By advertising on your site(s), can you guarantee my property will get rented?

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee your property will get rented because each renter has varying budgets and requirements. While a corporate event planner might need high square footage for entertaining over 250 guests, a small group of sports fans may have a tight budget and do not need anything more than a few bedrooms to relax in.

We provide free advice at any time to enhance the effectiveness of your advertisement. Sometimes all it takes uploading new photos and featuring different parts of the property to gain more interest in your property.

Why should I advertise with EventLeasing.com?

How do I choose a realistic daily rental price?

This is one of the hardest, yet most important, decisions you’ll have to make when renting your property out for an event. Compare your property to a three to four-star hotel, and the total occupancy your property could accommodate.

If you offer extra services like housekeeping, catering or transportation, you should reflect this in your rental price. Another important factor is proximity to the event venue. If you’re within 1 mile of the event, renters are expecting to pay a premium on this convenience. If you have any questions, we are happy to advise you on this price. Do you charge commission off the rental price?

Never. We only charge a fee for advertising on our site at registration or on one of our subscription plans. We offer an additional premium placement service for property owners, but this is completely optional. Your advertising fee goes directly into our worldwide advertising of properties for rent during major sporting events. You receive 100% of your agreed rental price from renters.

Do you offer a discount if I list 5 or more properties with you?

No. The majority of your advertising fee goes directly into advertising our worldwide advertising program. We do make exceptions if you have over 25 properties to rent for a single event. Contact us for more information.

This is the first time I am renting my house out for an event, what legal documentation do I need?

We have a short-term rental agreement you may use and ammend, Free of charge. We do recommend visiting your solicitor/lawyer for local tax and rental laws in your area.

I don’t see the sporting event on your website I’d like to advertise for. What other events will you be taking properties for?

We are constantly adding new events to our website, and appreciate all suggestions by property owners and renters alike. Please contact us with your ideas and suggestions!

How long will my ad run on your website(s) for?

Your advertisement will appear on the website(s) you choose after registering until the property has rented, or until the beginning of the sporting event. While we do not require home owners to notify us when their property is rented, we greatly appreciate notification so we can measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns.

I don't have a digital camera, can I post/mail you photos for my listing?

Yes, we can scan any photos you send to us. We do require a service charge for scanning photos. Scanning services also includes photo optimisation by our graphic designer, so your property photos look fantastic to viewers. Do I have to remove all my belongings during a rental?

No. Renters know they're staying in a private home, but will expect a closet or set of drawers for their clothes. If you have a spare large storage room, closet or bedroom, consider allocating it for your personal belongings and lock the door during the rental. Then you can keep anything you do not want broken, stolen or damaged.

Do you share my property and contact information with a 3rd party?

We NEVER share your contact information with anyone. Our parent company, Leinsternet Ltd is based in the United Kingdom, and will only provide information for the HM Revenue & Customs office under a court order. You have the option of including your telephone and mobile numbers in your listing, but this is not required.

How do I get my ad to feature on top of property searches?

From our experience, properties featured on the first page get over 200% more hits than the rest. We offer property owners the option to "Upgrade" their ads to ensure it features first when renters search on the website. Upgrade fees are available from the Upgrade tab when you login to your Account Manager.

After priority is given to "Premium Placed Ads" , the property searches are based on the last time the property owner logged in. So, every time you login to your Account Manager to check hits to your ad, upload new photos, or edit property details, your property will rise up in the search results.

Can I reactivate a cancelled ad?

Yes, you can reactivate an ad that has been cancelled within 7 days of the cancellation date. Simply login to your account, and you will be given the option to reactivate your advert.

Because our price structure rewards early-advertisers, if your account exceeds seven days after the cancellation date, you will need to create a new account at the current advertising rate.

If your credit or debit card is set to expire during your contract period, please let us know your information has changed and we can send you instructions for updating your card details.

2. RENTERS


I’ve found a property I’d like to rent. Who do I contact?

All rental transactions take place between the property owner and renter. Please contact the property owner directly using the enquiry form on their property page.

Can you email me when new properties are added to an event?

Yes, we have options available to corporate event and hospitality agents. We can email you when new properties are available that meet your specific hospitality needs. Please contact us via our online form for more information.

How do I know if the property is real? I don’t want to send money over to a fraudulent property owner.

We understand this is a major concern of all renters looking for accommodation abroad. To validate that the property owner is real , you can contact their bank manager or lawyer/solicitor as a reference. Before sending over any deposit or rent, have your lawyer/solicitor review your rental contract, and have them signed before transferring any money to the property owner.
